Winemaking Interns-Harvest 2026

Adelsheim Vineyard, one of the founding wineries in the Willamette Valley and the first winery in the Chehalem Mountains, is seeking several full-time seasonal winemaking interns to join our cellar production staff for the 2025 harvest. Candidates with prior harvest and/or forklift experience are encouraged to apply. Prior harvest and forklift experience is not a requirement, though a genuine interest in learning about wine is.

Positions will likely start in Mid-August and end sometime around early to mid-November, however we are looking for one person to start in May to help us with racking the 2025s out of barrel and getting them into bottle and then transition into harvest.
Additionally, we are looking for one laboratory intern. This position will entail ~75% lab work and 25% cellar work. Previous lab experience and/or science or chemistry-based degree is required for this role.

Notably, there may be opportunity for full time employment in the cellar after harvest for the right person.

Based on experience, you may be asked to do the following:

•  Vineyard sampling
•  Running crush equipment and sorting fruit
•  Forklift operation. In house certification and training provided
•  Barrel work
•  Cap management
•  Press operations
•  Juice/wine transfers
•  Additions and inoculations
•  Equipment sanitization/cleaning-Great wine comes from clean tanks!

You are:

•  Flexible and willing to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekends.
•  Able to read, write, speak and understand English
•  Able to accurately complete work instructions individually or in a team
•  Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
•  Able to lift 50 pounds.
•  Forklift certified or can be forklift certified by us.

Compensation:
•  $21/hr+ depending on experience with plenty of opportunity for overtime which is to be paid at 1.5x base pay rate.
•  Meals provided
•  Monthly wine allotment
